Description:
After almost 6 years of joyous ownership I have now decided to sell my Mk1 Golf Clipper . Specification includes:

• Momo Team 280mm Steering Wheel
• Porsche D90 Rims
• Euro look Stretch Tyres - Toyo Proxes all round - less than 1000 miles driven on these.
• AP suspension inc coils (done approx. 6 months ago)
• Full 4-wheel alignment was carried when suspension changed
• Adjustable camber kit
• 10 months MOT remaining (flew through the last one - needed a single bearing - I did both the rears)
• Brand new fuel tank installed (5years ago from VW Heritage)
• New Kenwood MP3 stereo with Bluetooth phone & AUX connectivity
• Front and rear in-door card speakers
• Electric hood (working)
• Euro spec interior and blue carpet
• Single headlight grille conversion
• Original hood cover
• Full respray 6 years ago – this included removal of upper body rust and proper prepping prior to paint
• New windscreen 6 years ago
• 5 speed gearbox with no syncro issues between 1^st and reverse
• Recent works include:
• New Battery
• New Alternator
• New Fan belt
• Brand new steering rack including boots (from VW heritage) I made the mistake of installing a non OEM power steering and although it made the steering light, drove awful. After above works the car drives true again. Could now do with another 4 wheel laser alignment as pulls slightly to the left.
• New exhaust from front tail pipe right through to back box.
• I have the original VW folder with all lots of receipts, previous MOTs and even the original service book schedule which is stamped upto approx 120k.

I have always warmed the car up properly before any spirited driving. Please remember this is a 25 year old car and it’s not showroom condition because I like to drive my cars. That being said it is very clean. There are some minor scratches on the bodywork and a small amount of light bubbling under the windscreen NSF corner. The floor pan is solid as I bought the car without an interior and has been recently inspected too. The gearbox linkages could do with looking at, although all gears engage and it’s never popped out of gear, there is a very slight crunch into 1^st when you try to engage  if not completely stationary.
Altogether a solid, reliable car that gets many compliments with all the body, hood and mechanics in good working order.
