Description:

So the time is here where I should really sell my Golf. I really don't want to and I've put it off for a long time but I live in Canada and doesn't look like I'm coming back any time soon.
So here we go..

I bought this as a ratty black car, standard height and with a badly done 1.3 conversion out a mk3 polo. It had a rusty rear valance, rear arch and passenger floor pan.
I stripped the whole thing down and had all the welding done with new panels and sealed underneath. While we did that we smoothed out a lot of the wiring holes in the engine bay and the holes for the plastic bumpers. We removed the rear wiper too.
Everything got smoothed down and then it was professionally painted in an ivory colour (an old camper/beetle colour). The rear arches have been rolled and the front arches have been trimmed so they don't catch either.
It has new:
Ebay coilovers
Steering rack
Top mounts
Wishbones
Discs and pads
Ball joints
Carpet
Fully sound deadened
Headlining
Windscreen
Window and door seals
Rear windows
Fuel filler pipe

and reconditioned or nearly new:
Rear axle
Brakes
Scirocco seats
Clocks
Triumph steering wheel
Brake rods and master cylinder
Front and rear lights
Rear window
Wheels and Yokohama tyres with maybe 1000miles on (different car)

A lot of the wiring has been tucked and tidied up running it under the chassis legs etc so it isn't a smoothed bay but has everything laid out to continue tidying it up. The battery has been relocated the the spare wheel bay and the washers for the windscreen are running off the bottle in the boot so all the mounts for both have been taken out the engine bay.

The engine is a 1.4 16v AFH engine with under 2000 miles on since it was rebuilt and fully cleaned, slightly bored out with a gas flowed head and new pistons. It has a brand new stainless 4 branch manifold and CBR600 carbs for it to run on. I had a laser cut plate made for the carb manifold and then got a stainless manifold made for the carbs. When the engine was in the Polo running a custom ECU it got 130bhp on the rolling road.

This is where plans changed and I was going to leave.

Before I left we had all electrics working and the engine was turning over but was struggling to get a constant spark. It was sparking but not regularly so we never actually got it running.
To get it running I think it needs something to boost the spark and we narrowed it down to an issue with the coil not being strong enough. So if someone has done this conversion before it shouldn't be too difficult. It has a standard exhaust which isn't on right now but is with it. I have full new flexy brake hoses brand new in boxes ready to go on too.
The carbs were reconditioned before I got them too so they're nice and solid.

All parts you cannot see in the pictures are actually there (under trays, door handles, chrome sides trip). As I smoothed the wings to work for chrome bumpers then never got around to getting any I cut down and smoothed the plastic ones.
There is a scratch down the side next to the fuel cap. Its about 2.5inches long but deep. Other than that its in good condition and has been sat inside a dry shed in a breathable cover for nearly 2 years, occasionally getting rolled out to keep things moving well. Before that it was in the same shed for another few years getting built.

I'm pretty sure I've forgotten some more features but I will update if I think of anything.

Not really keen on selling as I've put so much time into this and it's been an amazing project but I need to car over here at some point!

I'm looking for £2500

The car is located near Louth, Lincolnshire.

Thanks
