Where to go for new hood in South East

Hi all, first post newbie here, so please be gentle!
GF has a 1986 MK1 Convertible, and the hood is knackered, tearing around the window. Can anyone recommend a good place to have a new one fitted?   We are based in Kent, near Tunbridge Wells. Cheers.

It's about an hour from you, but my Dad is a trimmer and works in Gillingham in Kent.
He's just done a hood on one of these, and has been going since the early eighties so is well up to speed on them.

I have an 1989 VW Golf GTI MK1 Cabriolet. Would your dad be able to do a complete trim, front and rear seats, door and rear cards from the original cloth to leather? please let me know asap

Give him a call, tell him I recommended him to you, and sure he'll be able to give you a ball park figure.

I see him once a month or so, so not sure on his diary schedule - He'll be able to let you know on that too though.

Welcome to the forum Joe Williams    Hopefully the answers help you.

You'll have to get a thread up with some pics of the MK1 - plus before and after on the roof too
