Hood skin was so cheap i though wth give it go 😂
Will replace it next time 😂
Unfortunately my original grey carpets been cut by previous owner so I'm having to keep the 6x9 speakers as it at the moment
My plan was to buy a metre of the original grey check Mk1 seat material from heritage make a new shelf mount the speakers under and recover it with the cloth 👍🏻

Then noticed that since agm car ( clipper) is making a rubbing noise could not see anything., but with wheel off i could see rubbing on handbrake cable,1 of the bendy metal tabs rotten away. So tie wrap to rear axel.
Still rubbing I removed drum and inspected and cleaned inside brakes. Refitted after lesson in how to reset the brake..
Now no rubbing. Hooray
Amazing this car isn't going to vw festival harewood. I'm taking sportline and mk2.. instead.

Snapped three bolts on my water pump and swapped old ones to stainless steel hex! Happy days, reckon I will snap a few more soon! Squeeky bum on nearly 80% of the Bolts I am removing from the engine bay - keeping my local shop going just by the amount of WD40, GT85, and blow torch gas I am buying ATM!

Front and rear shocks, top mounts and all the rubbers inbetween. All to go on this. This whatever colour green this is, the new Brazilian Brown or at least that's what the boot sticker says. (Any answers on this green please forward). I do know that it's not Montana Green, see my Mk2 in front.

Reconnect the battery flicked the key and it fired up. Unbelievable.
To be fair and assumed it would be harder and I was going to be ok with that as I wanted some oil to pump round before it fired. To be fair is sounded sweet as a nut so all good really.

replaced starter, alternator, battery, headlamp, side trims, steering rack, sent to quiffs to have some electrical toys removed and heater motor replaced. lol too idle to do that. MOT done, then i've tried killing the car by removing the old damaged cork rocker cover gasket, dont really know what happened but after replacing, the hydraulic tappets and oil stopped flowing, sump off and found lots of cork, and pick up pipe full, so cleaned and fitted new pump, thought better refresh.
Then 10mins later again the tappets banging… WTH..tried STP to thicken oil -10-40 was oil, still no good tried oil flushing for 20 mins still nothing, so off again with sump, nothing showing in oil, but some small particles in the new pump, so i cleaned that down and checked was working by running water through it and turning clock wise and anti clock wise sucked and pushed, as hoped, refited sump and refilled with another 4litres of oil.. no cars sounded tappety for 3 mins until upto temp and then he presto all is ok again… gonna run a few days then change filter a second time and see how goes. Busy and slightly annoying but learning that some cars dont like filters and even minor issues could escalate quickly, have spare tappets and head gasket ready.
