Looking for owner's stories pre-2000

I'm doing some research for Volkswagen on a possible new project and thought this would be the best place to start! I'm looking to collect driver's fondest (or funniest) Mk1-related stories from the 70s, 80s or 90s; and if you have pictures, even better! Thanks in advance, Tim.
