When does the countdown begin for the new season golf Cabrio

Morning everyone,

Well I didn't think I'd be writing a post like this when we ended GAP Season 3 back in March this year but how things can change.

As a handful of you know for the last 6 months or so I've been having some fairly serious health issues. Not wanting to bore you with the details but I've been in Hospital from time to time and had three weeks on Rehab. Even back to Hospital next month.

Now my recovery is far away from where I'd been hoping for in fact I'm still unable to work at the moment.

So I've been forced into making the decision that I will suspend 'GAP Season 4' for this year.

It's not one I've taken half heartedly as I know the game is well liked and supported but due to the sheer amount of time that's involved in running it properly it will be to much for me at the moment.

Each week if I look at the amount of time it's taken to find a car, translate it, save all the data and photos, then make the post and run it for seven days takes about 12-15 hours per week. It's a lot more than one thinks!

To put it into some sort of perspective the weather here has been fantastic since the beginning of April, proper driving weather especially if you own a Cabby.
Even yesterday we hit nearly 30 degrees and today it will be around 27.
Since taking my Cabby out of winter storage back at the beginning of April I've covered less then 200 miles.

I've not even been able to clean the poor thing properly and have had to ask my son to do it for me.

The reason I've mentioned this is just so you get an idea of what I've been through these last few months but to be honest it could be so much worse!

So apologies for the suspension but I do aim to bring it back next year, bigger and better than before and I hope you'll all join me again for some winter fun once again!

I will be compiling a Season 1-3 review hoping to post it Christmas week.  Pictures and details of some exceptional cars, prices, guesses and of course comments by the players. 👍 😀

So still something to look forward to this winter!

Thanks and to be honest I left that post about a month to late because I was kidding myself that things could be turned round fast but sadly not to be.

It was my loving, caring family that persuaded me to put it on hold for this year and although I'm very disappointed it does make sense!

It does make sense fella, your health come a first

To be honest I've been dreading writing this post but in some ways now I've got it off my chest I'm feeling slightly better already.

I'm still going to be active on the forum as a member and a Moderator but this just takes some of the day to day pressure off me! 😀👍

Sorry to hear about your health issues Mike. We can appreciate how time consuming running GAP takes, but your health comes first. Take it easy Mike and get better soon.

Was taken aback to read about your health issues Mike.

On a more serious issue though is your confession to the criminal neglect of your cabby this year!!

You know for three years now I've been getting up at 06:00am every Saturday and Sunday my time to prepare either the results of that week or the next car.

Finished by 8 or 9 which happens to co-inside with the time my wife wakes up.

By then I'm ready to slip out the door to go to church.
But not the one I live next door to which is no more than 12 feet away from my front door but another one. Which is about 100 yards away and where the only praying 🙏 you do is how long will it take to be served a beer 🍻 😂

Good job I bought a new dog back in August because without that as an excuse to go out early I'd have to talk to the wife and explain why I didn't do the long list of jobs she gave me to do the day before!  😂👍

Well as for "Criminal Neglect" I plead guilty as charged!
But in my defence here's a couple of pictures from yesterday.

This is my son's handy work bless him but he does get paid well and out of the 800 Km's the car has done this year he's done 600 Km's and has never unlocked the petrol cap! 😂👍

Hi mike sorry to hear of your health issues but as folk have said earlier rest up and look after number 1. We will still be here to support you in whatever way we can. So don't be a stranger.

I must saw your car still looks amazing even if it's only done 800km - the colour combination of the red hood with the white and of course the Sportline mix and that registration plate is class.
