Mk1 white cabriolet

testing waters

Just testing the waters here and getting a rough idea of what I'm looking at.

So here goes, I have a mk1 white karmann clipper cabrio, 1991 H reg, 80,000 miles, interior is excellent, seats look like they have never been sat in. Electric hood works perfectly, power steering works perfectly, everything works as it should. Exterior and underneath are rot free, has a few age related marks but that's all. Starts and runs superb, has just been imported from Jersey and just been registered in the uk, v5c in my name, taxed, mot until April 2016, no advisories, 4 new tyres, new registration plates fitted, just serviced by my self. Previous owner lost the service history booklet.

So my question is, what would you pay for this car? Just getting a rough idea of what to put it up at, if I decide to sell.

Takes a few minutes and is not that hard
Take about ten good photos from inside and out, including the engine bay and low down the bodywork.

But please bear in mind that we don't value cars but offer personal opinions of what it might be worth.
You may get a lot more or less when it comes to handing over the cash!

The fact there's no service history knocks it back but it has power steering which will nullify some of that.

If it was 1st registered in Jersey until now I'm amazed it's got 80k on the clock even in that time.  :o

I spent a week there once, rented a Nova that had barely any fuel in it.  So being very young then, filled the tank and a week later I took it back and the needle never even moved!

She is now on eBay.

Me and my gf have just applied for a mortgage, the property that we are looking to buy only has 1 parking space, so the golf has to go. I had plans to make her a real stunner, but obviously that's now not possible.

All funds from the sale of my golf will be going towards our deposit, so hoping I get as much as possible for her.

EBay item number is 281696937358

I ended the listing on eBay, it wasn't doing too well.

I might be taking it to the vw show at pod in July.
