Looking for photos of rear hatch

As above, strange request but I'm looking for photos of a mk1 tiptop with the boot open, or removed.

more specifically in the channels above the gas struts that hold the hatch up,


Basically looking to see if there is a seam for the roof skin thats visible or if my cars had a roof at some point

like this but clearer

Know what you mean, I have just looked at mine and it's does look like a new roof has been welded on! But mine is 100% original so you don't have anything to worry about.

Quick question on this post. Does the boot have one or two struts? There is only one on mine

Only one, if the go weak, you can get replacements quite cheaply, got mine from Eurocarparts.  Just be careful when you take the strut off, it's held in place by a circlip which shoots off as you prise it away. took me an hour to find mine in the garage.
