I think not!
How can a dealer describe this as a concours restoration? I'm not saying it isn't a nice car, but it's hardly concours.

Tick overs rather fast, temperature gauge showing 1/2 way and idle at 1500 rpm….
What's happened to the seats, those seat are horrible, what colour do you call that….

Pretty sure that was up for sale there for at least two years if not longer I think, although the front seats are different to what I remember .

A Used Car Salesman knows when he is lying. lolololol

I reckon mine is museum worthy in this case.
So . . No chin spoiler at all??
Vile seats and wheel which hasnt got the horn press straight.
If you are going to the trouble of VDO'S at least do all 3 because they looks wrong
It idles even higher than mine

If your trying to sell any car let alone a "concours" car why leave a dirty engine bay?, no air filters on them carbs and no mention about the KR.
It's not worth what they're asking but it has got potential.
Oh and them seats….yuck!

Oh did not spot the engine bay pictures….
Faults …. over spray on the side rubbers along the wings, radiator cowel held on with cables ties as it's to big for the radiator, hall sender sat in the scuttle so it will get covered in water when it falls of the plastic cover, wiper arm missing cover…. I could go on… no way a £13,000 car, more like £1300….

I'm new to Mk1 Golf's, but I thought the i in GTi, stood for injection, soooooo a concourse GTi on twin 40's, isn't that just a GT?
Just sayin', I'm no expert.

Looking at the asking price, I'd say it stood for inflated.

Jeez, i've just looked at this… shocking! how can a car dealer show a car in that state… thinks giving it an exterior wash, blacked the tyres so all is fine & is worthy of taking photos to sell it! it looks like it's been sat 'in a barn' (don't get people started on the barn find thing ) & not really done a lot for quite some time… dust, over-spray, rear trim damage, rank seats, dirty seats, idle RPM, MFA naffed, rank steering wheel, parcel shelf awol, rear boot trim, window winder?, rear carpet, door hinge area! & nice presented standard engine & bay… wow… & that's without going to see it most probably been hammered more times than a porn star 'Everyone of Our Cars Goes Through Our In House Work Shop Prior to Sale by Our Fully Qualified and Experienced Technicians'
& the magic RESTORATION…
& the magic RESTORATION…

Agree with everyone's comments. The reason I posted is I'm trying my best to get my Mk1 to concours level so this dealer is taking the p*ss.
