brake pedal stuck to the floor

So I bought my first mk1 gti last weekend, it had been parked in a guys garage for nearly 6 years. The brake pedal is stuck to.the floor, I can lift it up but there is no resistance and I can push it back down very easily.

The brake reservoir is full.
Linkage to the servo is hooked up.
Any ideas?
Where can I get a new servo and master cylinder?

If there are no leaks then I suspect that the seals have perished in the master cylinder

There is a strong return spring in the linkage just behind the master cylinder, sounds like this is missing or not fitted properly.
