Got a text today from a mate who was visiting it today, and he says they are doing up a red mk1 Gti.....is anyone else aware of this?

spotted it last month when at the German Car Show or should I say the E36 show

I was back home ten days ago for my Daughters Wedding down on Bournemouth beach.
I was driving down from Winchester and saw the signs to Beaulieu and nearly turned left to have a look at the place one more time.

My Dad was the General Foreman on the construction of the Museum back in the 70's and it was my playground for three years.

Not many people, let alone kids can say they've sat and played in the first prototype Hovercraft that Sir Christopher Cockerell ever made public or the 'Blue Bird' (renamed 'Bluebird') built by Sir Malcolm Campbell.  

Slightly Off Topic but how cool was that for a kid but to be honest I didn't understand the significance until many years later!
