Advice on the best place to sell a clean shell

Post

The guy who's been working on my mk2 recently asked me if I had any thoughts on where he could advertise his mk1. It's a 1.1C, white (I think), and in original condition, bar the engine, which isn't there. He says it is completely clean, rust free. I've no reason to doubt him. He was planning on an ABF conversion but he's had a change of heart.

I suggested here, Edition 38, and sites like Piston Heads but said I'd ask the club for better advice. Does anyone have any thoughts?

eBay, largest audience…. cover it in dust, 'barn find'… It'll fetch more than its worth!

Winner!

Advice on the best place to sell a clean shell

Depends really, if he wants a quick sale than anywhere from gumtree, Facebook, eBay.

If he wants it to go to an enthusiast, here is the best place as it'll get looked after

Is it 3/5 door?

1986 Cabriolet (long resto!)
1983 Cabriolet (daily pain in the bum)
1983 T25 (weekend pain in the bum)

Do you think? I'd assume that for a complete car but wondered whether it might need a more specialist audience as it doesn't have an engine.

No idea. I only know what he's told me. It ought to be in good condition – he works in a bodyshop!

Any idea how much he's looking to get out of it?

A bunch of pictures would help because I'm sure it would sell.  :)

No idea on that either, I'm afraid. I just know he's decided to move it on and wondered if I had any suggestions on where he could list it.

Yeah, there's not many small blocks around anymore and if someone wants one then it's worth something, depends on the age as well, if it's early could be worth more when restored

He should try here first for a couple of weeks.
As a Newbie I think he has to pay £5 to advertise but check on that.
