wanted series 1 mk1 golf gti seats

hi Im after some seats for a series 1 gti need be in decent condition I do have a mint set of series 2 seats that I am happy make a deal with or happy talk cash you can tx me after 2pm 07889129181 I work night so only tx thanks

I know there are differences between the seats (mostly plastic trim and headrests) but have you thought about simply retrimming the centres?
It wouldn't be accurate, but possibly the best compromise. Without being picky, the interior has already got some inaccuracies, that most wouldn't notice. The visual impact of the tartan cloth is the single biggest attention grabber when looking at S1's. If you're going for a restoration correct build, then consider that there are lots of subtle changes you'll need to make in your interior for it to be accurate. The door cards will probably be harder than the seats to obtain. Furthermore, S1 headrests appear on the lesser models, and they're easy to swap with yours at a later point.

what are the correct seat colors in an S1 GTi?

It depends on the body colour

Yeah that's what I wanted to know, what seats go in what colour.

The 1980 brochure I have says ,

Mars Red gets REd and Black check
diamond Silver and Black get Silver and Black check.

Inari Silver and White exterior colours were also Red and Yellow tartan trim.

I thought I recalled a yellow pinstripe somewhere.

I have set same as the pics that i could sell
