We are considering options and selling our Rivage but hard to know what its actually worth
<br />
Poor thing is only doing a few sunny day runs and sitting in the heated garage most of the time <img alt="Golf at beach.jpg" src="https://res.cloudinary.com/mk1-golf-owners-club/image/upload/c_limit,w_768,f_auto,q_auto/v1670404010/uploads/attachments/639057a9dcc68.jpg" title="Golf at beach.jpg" />

The prices, as you probably already know, just keep climbing. I've seen a few go for North of £15K for low mileage, unmolested examples. Time of year also seems to have an impact, cars being sold in Spring/early summer seem to go for the highest prices. I've been looking for a clean example for some time, there are a few out there that are posing as Rivages, a bag of trouble or have been molested. Out of interest and to help others give you a better idea of value; How many miles has it done? What is the condition like? Is there a decent amount of service history? Any finance, insurance claims or reported stolen flags against it? Finally, how many owners?
Cheers,
Sean

84K miles and we are the second owner as it was my Mums from new so still in the family
Totally original, never welded, resprayed, lowered or otherwise
In heated garage from new and only taken out on nice days only 1000 odd miles a year for the last 10 or more years
Brakes, shocks, springs and bushes all done as original and she steers and brakes and drives lovely -
Up-graded gear linkage, rocker gasket - all parts inc shocks etc from Mark at Classic VW
Underneath is perfect and bodywork has some stone chips from use but not touched up or repaired - My Dad had it waxoiled from time to time and I have given it a treat with Bilt Hamber in all the hidden places
New cambelt last week - Tyres recent so almost as new
Every document, brochure, owners manual and folio from new together with two sets of original VW metal logo keys
Had power steering fitted soon after it was new through the VW dealership (Vindis) all paperwork is with the car including invoice for £1900 which was a load of money back then!
The bad bits - very few!
Drivers seat has some wear through the cloth on the bolster on door side. THe good news is that I have an original set of seat covers from another blue Rivage so a simple job for a good car upholstery person . I searched a long time to find the cloth as it was only ever used in 218 blue Rivage cars as far as I can find out and its unobtainable now.
MFA works 100% fine in the summer and is intermittant in the winter - I never bothered to look into it
The radio cassette works fine but there is some bleeding on the LCD screen
My Dad, a long time ago started to jack the car up in the wrong place until he heard a crack - there is s vertical clean crack on the passenger sill cover - not normally visable until you look
Original mohair blue roof is lovely for 30 odd years old - sometme years ago a dork mage a two inch cut on the side with a blade - its low down by the rear window and my dad stitched up
I think that's it really
If we sell her we will buy a camper to replace the old Talbot Rambler so I guess a swap for a van could also work
