US Spec help

Just a quick question, I'm working in the US at the minute and an American colleague here as asked me to go and view a cabby with him. I advised him on the fantastic buyers guide on here and it just left me wondering if there is anything drastically different that we should be looking at?

I think there are a few US spec car owners on here so thought I'd ask the question.
