Need recommendation for garage in South East

Hi All

I would like to get the other half's Mk1 GTI Convertible back on the road as a wedding present, I would appreciate a recommendation of a garage in the South East please that either is a VW specialist or just a decent firm that has the ability to work on a 28 year old car.

Can you be a little bit more specific on location?

Realistically it would be London, Essex, Herts or Kent.
But I wouldn't discount other areas if the recommendation was spot on etc
