Looking to buy this 1983 MK1 Golf, owner is asking for £1,500
Kinda need some advice on if this is a bargain or if i should steer clear! Can see from the photos it's suffering from some bad rust but if that can be fixed with some welding then that's pretty much the only problem!
Just looking for some solid advice please!
Cheers,

I'm no expert at getting photos up, but what worked for me was uploading onto Photobucket as normal, then selecting the IMG code and simply pasting into the text on here and previewing it before submitting. Trying to use one of the icons to upload pictures did not work for me. Not sure if that helps.

What mileage is it showing? Interior condition and engine is sat in it? Does it have a current mot? Any details will help

£1,500 if it was one colour and not rotten. Looks like a £500 project to me.

The trouble with doing nothing is that you never know when you are finished.

yea theres a silver one on facebook at the moment he wants £500 for it and its in much better condition.
Try your luck at £500 its worth it, but £1500 seems over priced

Never worth £1500 that. 1500 should get you a reasonably solid example that's maybe just tatty around the edges. Especially if a series 2 IMO
with the amount if rot on the outside of that I would expect the chassis / underside to be pretty nasty.
