Looks like I have started the old tintop vs cabby debate again sorry guys lol

I may now be ripping up the front garden to put the daily car on to make room for a cabby for the wife under the car port.

TIntop is staying in the garage tho!!

This famous war rears it head every now and then. It is funny to see peoples comments.

You will find that the plastic Golf lovers will defend there own models. The real Golf lovers will like all derivatives of the car.

Me, I like them both for what they are. We have one of each.

I love my cabby to bits and I have mine as a daily/only car. never driven a tin top but will own both one day. I don't think life would be as fun without a mk1 in it no matter which variant or model it is, although I do have my favourites =)

i love my cabby, its ace, tin tops are great too, they both mk1's.

i do however fancy a tintop gti just cant afford both and dont really want to sell the cabby (though i had thought about it)

My 5 penneth worth, wouldn't buy  cabbys, caddys, 5 doors, base models, early models, really only like mars red, possibly white late 2 door gti,s.
