Tarantula wheels won't fit my 1500 GL

Please help a newbie. I have procured some 13inch tarantula GTI wheels, tried to fit to my 1500 GL to replace standard MK2 style steel wheels but they don't fit over the centre hub and seem about 20mm proud of the drum / hub surface. Wheels are standard am I supposed to be using spacers ? Appreciate any help can't wait to get them on ! Thanks

Its the powder coating thats been done on them. It needs clearing away from the centre with a round file or similar. They're a close fit on the hubs as they centralise the wheel. Once they do fit then you need to check the wheel bolts regularly until the powder coating/paint has gone from the wheel bolt chamfer. They may work loose otherwise.

They will look stunning when you get them fitted, i have them on my GTI and i love them
