Tailgate vinyl

Hi I own a mk1 golf driver and it has the lower door vinyls and the car is mars red, and has ats classic wheels on it, but I noticed that it doesn't have the tailgate vinyls. Is this car meant to have the tailgate vinyl? And will it look good with one?

I think it was only gti's that had the tailgate vinyl as standard.
As to whether it will look good? Personal preference really. I wouldn't not have it (if that makes sense) on a Gti as it's one of the  things that marked them out back in the day!
I'll tell you they are a b#gger to fit though!

Second what paceman says, they can be awkward to fit unless you are a dab hand at graphics, from personal experience I bought one from ebay and paid £25 for it only to bin it eventually due to it not fitting right, ended up getting one from VW Heritage which was a bit more pricey but the fit was spot on, hard to tell initially but the bottom edge has a slight curve along it's distance and fits perfect, oh and ended up getting a mate who does car graphics to fit it too
