Standard or sports exhaust ????

Post

Here's my dilemma
Bought myself a mint cabrio and its all original right down to the radio / tape player, so might plan to show it next year.

Both the down pipe and mid section of the exhaust need changing but trying to decide what to fit? Especially as the rear is stainless steel and fairly new

1 just fit standard new? Cheaper, boring but could spend what I save for some snowflake ???

2 fit a jetex system?? But is it worth the money?
I mean will I notice any difference in performance ?? If so how much or will it just be loader?
Really do fancy having a sporty system but not if the VW system is just as good!

Plus it would be the only part not standard then again I do want to show it too

If your going to keep the engine standard then I'd go for a standard exhaust,I've recently bought a cabby that's been modified slightly and has a stainless back box, sounds awesome but I feel a bit of a boy racer and that's not a look I'm going for  :ninja:

Stock Rocks.

Had the same dilemma earlier this year.

I could get a decent looking stockish stainless system for not much more than a Bosel mild steel.

Went for the mild steel and worth every penny, definitely the right choice if you want to stay stock.

Mrs Choc Rolls Stock!

OK standard it is…….
it's a 91 model so struggling to find a mid section and even harder / impossible to find stainless steel unless you know differently  :)
