Really sorry about my lack of reply Mark. I don't use the forum so much these days and I forgot if commented on your original post.  I'm more on the Facebook page etc. I'm
Sorry I was hard to get hold of and I was one of the members that upset you due to not replying soon enough. I'm a little surprised no one on here that knows me didn't get in touch to remind me. I really wanted one of these too and have been talking about getting one for years. I'm glad you managed to sell it on but gutted it wasn't to me 😢 I suppose that's what I get ay? Again, my apologies and thanks for getting these in for the mk1 owners. If you ever get any more in, I have cash waiting.

Thanks

Rich

Did you manage to fit this in the end?

I'm planning on installing mine in the next couple of weeks and was wondering if you had any advice or a guide?

Cheers

Havent fitted it completely as I want to tidy up the clutch cable hole, usual split in the metal.  But I have had both brackets on. Found the driver side one benefitted from a couple of mm being ground of the bottom, and the existing slots being filed up slightly.  Passenger side fitted fine. At this moment unsure which way round to fit the bar as the ends are different, need to study the pictures on the for sale advert.

some close up pics so the guys can see

clutch kit installed - note cable now runs around the rear of the motor and not draped over the cambelt cover making the cable shorter and more positive feel and looks way neater.
my bulkhead was completely destroyed by previous botch jobs so just cut out about 6 x 4 inches and welded in a 2mm plate
looks funny but the rocco was upside down

i think if the bar is wrong way round you dont have the slot for the spring in the correct place - maybe wrong , stand corrected but think curved side is on the booster side , will have to get to the scrappers with camera to check

i think i will grab one at the same time and see if worth converting for the rocco

Fitting the clutch conversion soon hopefully.
Brake bar set up is heading off to a guy on the register who's got a Rocco engine bay that's easily accessible to see what he can do.
Once he's done that he's going to mock up what needs fabbing then it comes back to me for fitting to yoda
