Project Coffee Table

I was chucking some scrap metal into the landlords skip today and this was lying in it……



A good old Rover V8!

Apparently there's nothing wrong with it but the landlord was having a clear out and it ended up in the skip.

Thinking that's too good to be in there I fetched it out and now plan to build a top gear style coffee table from the block.

Unless someone's got a better suggestion? I welcome your ideas!

No bother to ya… 

Leave some pistons in, use a remote holder or wine bottle holder 

Shoehorn it into a mk1 rolling shell. Engine bay and bonnet may need 'slight' mods

I know a man with a kit car that would be able to find a use for it.

Stripped it tonight.

It was the dirtiest engine i've ever stripped!



According to the engine number it came from an SD1.

This is awesome! Reminds me of the f1 racing wheels that get turned into coffee tables!!

Coffee table gets my vote unless of course there's demand for it out there……
