New Top Gear series on Sunday - Hot Hatches!

The new series of Top Gear starts on Sunday. If I read right, the first episode they're out to prove that old hot hatches are better than their newer versions. Hopefully this means some Golf GTI action!   

Ive seen a picture i think of that episode somewhere and saw a mk2 gti which is slightly dissapointing but also reduces the risk of them bashing up a nice mk1  

That's true. Shame they don't do a golf gti through the ages to compare and show the mk1 as the best

Theres a feature in Top Gear mag on the new series. The Retro Hot Hatch episode as they call it features a Nova v Fiesta v Golf. Usual story… buy car for X pounds… series of challenges.

I just cant get excited by Top Gear now. Theyve gone over the top with 'messing about'. I seriously prefer the American version now.
