I am considering putting a 2.0 TFSI engine in my Mk1 Golf GTI. Can anyone recommend a company that would insure it?
Hi There
I am considering putting a 2.0 TFSI engine in my Mk1 Golf GTI. I am told this will result in an output of approx 285 BHP. I got in touch with a place called Lancaster Classic Car insurance, and they told me that they cannot insure a car with BHP that high.
Can anyone recommend an insurer that specialises in this type of modification or even better, if you have done some sort of similar mod, who do you use to insure the car?
thanks in advance :-)

Hi Sean,
We are both insured with Carole Nash, I have slight mods to my cabby, but my hubby Elv-APX has 20vt with heavy modification running 270bhp. Give them a call, you will get good discount with paid membership. Cheers, Anna
