Good morning

ive been a on here for quite some time quietly reading posts, watching projects take place, problems been solved,
I have owned my 1983 driver since 1999 and loved every minute but because of growing family's, house moves, life commitments you know all the excuses:lol:! I have never been able to finish the project I started all them years ago,
well I don't plan on growing any more kids and don't plan on moving for a few years I have decided enough is enough and actually finish my mk1.
Now over the years I've seen engine conversions of all kinds and this is my biggest stumbling block, I no how I want my mk1 to look but when it comes to engines I'm stuck. I have a lupo sport engine 100bhp to go which keeps the small block mounts etc which keeps things as they were out of box! But then I have a 16v abf which I could put in.
I plan on running both on itbs and I no bout moving mounts etc for the abf. I just feel that's it's been so long in the making I don't want to regret the choice I make.

So this is where I am at , I want to do it right , full rebuild over the next few years
and who better to ask so

lupo sport small block leave mounts or abf change mounts.
Please any thoughts and opinions very much welcome

many thanks Daz:thumbs:.

Long time

Glad you're back on it, and thanks for paying for membership tough call on the engine. Maybe go whole hog and go the abf route. Should serve you well!

Any pics of your Mk1 for us?

I don't have any pictures of my golf from the early years, I did take loads from when I did things, and went out and about with it but back then I was at my parents, and computer with all the files are long gone I think, but I will check. I've started to strip it now just shell really, most of the cars in my cellar wrapped up in blankets:lol: along with all the parts I've collected over the years.
I no the abf would be a good addition to any mk1 but I've had itso long now, I won't be using it all the time but for days out in summer etc.

Sad ad I no!!

Cheers Daz
