Ah that's great Mal - glad you got sorted.
If you don't link with Mark and a few of the NI lads head to Paulstown Service Junction 7 off the M9 (just outside Kilkenny) for lunch and link with everyone there. That will be a meeting point from about 13:00.
I will be posting up the itinerary this weekend just a few things to finalise.

On Friday as suggested earlier we can all meet in Applegreen for lunch around 13:00 at Paulstown Services M9 Junction 7 signposted for Paulstown, Gowran & Thomastown. Then convoy to Laharts for 15:00.

Laharts have kindly offered us some refreshments when we arrive and I have invited Larry Mooney a retired VW Specialist to meet us and give a brief account of 'The Irish Mk1 GTI Story'. which should be interesting.

So the last few days I've been firming up on a few things. Nearly there…
Hotel has taken back any vacant rooms. Talking to them today. Anyone staying on Friday night I've a table booked in the restaurant for 19:30.
Been into visit Laharts VW garage to run through a few logistics. Going in again on Saturday to help set up our display. Pics to follow.
Have visited all the auto factors and garages in Kilkenny to distribute all remaining flyers.
Met the Kilkenny Motor Club members on Tuesday evening to help out with clubs Sunday show. They are expecting in the region of 650/700 classic cars to attend. Should be good. The feature cars this year are the Riley and the Mk1 golf Gti. A few other big clubs like the Imp, Cortina and Renault will be in attendance.
Maps are printed.
Getting thru a few bits…

Looking forward to the run Hugh, I hope the Golf is up to it, it hasn't been out in weeks.
My New Year's resolutions are: 1. Stop making lists. B. Be more consistent. 7. Learn to count.

Well another Mk1 Ireland tour has come and went and thanks to all who came and shared in the three part weekend event. All activites went down really well with all participants. I had a ball all weekend long…
Thanks in no particular order to Laharts VW, Larry Mooney, Bernard Kelly, Springhill Hotel, Kilkenny Castle, Kilkenny Motor Club, Mk1 Owners Club, My wife, My good mate Adrian, our UK visitors and all the members of the Ireland region who played their part in a great mk1 weekend.
We might do it all again next year!
