Could you put the project on hold for a while until things get better on the financial side ? …..at least the mk1 shouldn't suffer from depreciation too much 
Mk1 2l TSR G60.  .getting. There twice as fast

Mk1 lhd diesel…….getting. There for half the cost

good luck selling it … mine was up for sale for weeks before I got fed up and scrapped it as it was dead money! No one will want it unless it's got a gti or a rivage badge on it and to top it off mine had mot till NOV 14 and tax for 3 months rofl GLWTS
