Carb base gasket (rubber)

Hi there,

I have a Golf Mk1 (had it in the family for 32 years). My mechanic has asked me to get a Carb base gasket (rubber). I've been on VW Heritage and can't find anything that matches. Does anyone know where I can purchase a Carb base gasket (rubber) please?

What your looking for is known as the carb "flange"  , Its the mount that goes between the carb and the inlet manifold. It flexes and then cracks and causes air leaks and bad running.


On heritage they are listed under   FUEL AND INDUCTION —— >  CARBS AND INTAKE

Like this, But make sure you get the right type for your engine, This is for a 1000-1300 engine
