Headlights - as I live in a very rural part, and now the evenings are pulling in, I’m thinking of my headlights (which are truly dreadful!). Looking to replace with new ones, but at the same time am wondering about some sort of day time running lights too…has anyone fitted those ‘Angel eyes’ things - with the illuminated ring round the outside of the headlamp - a la BM’s from several years ago?

You can get a headlamp relay kit off of ebay for less than 20 bucks just make sure you have the ones with the ceramic sockets.
If you want to get trick, then use 3 relays and your hi/low element on the main beam will shine with the inners on the quad grille with a dip of the switch.
I have the how do I do thats in the Archive section, or see a google search of Daniel Sterns Lighting.
head light voltage before relay
headlight voltage after relay

This is mine in low sunlight with yellow film and very budget bulbs, with the same loom in the listing, works brilliantly
Please dont fit angle eyes, they wont be any better anyway, as for day time running lights, just turn your lights on every time you jump in it.
Get the "lights left on buzzer relay" and you wont have any issues

Buy one of these, this one is just for the outer light but you can get them for the inners as well

Thank you - looks good. Have ordered today! Need some time to get under the bonnet - work is mad ATM
Not sure about the angle eyes, quite like the DRL concept - Bit more subtle than ' look at me' headlights on all the time. But original they certainly ain't! I hope I won't be thrown out of the club in disgrace if I do get some!
