Hype? Our tree is still full of presents unopened due to COVID, and well Christmas was different, I ventured out today looking to replace my Shaving Mirror that gave its life and frame fixing my van but the Store said they had it in store via the web, and they didn't, then I couldn't find a new Shaving Brush, as my 30 year old JB-Welded one is shedding bristles quicker than a dog with mange.
The 2 stores that I did go in to were brutally invaded by bargain hunters…and my 10 minute non-discovery but buying the things the wife wanted turned out to take me 40 minutes to get checked out.
What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

tarp across the door to keep the wind out, and well with quartz halogens I can get it toasty, but after I have it screwed to the door frame, I use T-rex tape to seal it to the frame…. worked pretty well for me on the 31 degree days two weeks ago, by 2:00pm it did get up to 45…I didn't need my Thermal suit or long johns. I don't think the HOA liked it, but that is what I get for buying a "down Sized" house…

Yep.
So much to do
Put up shelves in the garage (can't too much stuff in the way now! I need a bigger garage!)
Rip out the gearbox in the golf and replace it
Recommission the Derby
Finish stripping a Mini Convertible that failed it's MOT and get rid of it
Decorate the house to sell it.
Dunno where to start
Merry New Year

I would of never suspected that I would ever see empty store shelves in my Grocery Stores and Such.
No Churches, No Schools, No Public Gatherings, No Christmas or New Years.
But then again if you protest and burn down things over here you don't need a mask to riot.
Am I bored of this, you betcha.
And I am also sick and tired of Comorbidity countings of deaths by the Wuhan-flu.
ie: My Brother who is a first responder was called to a Roll over Vehicle crash where the person was ejected from the car, and the car rolled over on him and crushed him. Since he tested post mortem for covid, it was the covid that was listed on his Death Certificate, and not the fact that his blood alcohol was Sky-high, no seat belt, and he was crushed by his own car and stupidity.
He has some other Funnier examples of the BS that they are doing to make it appear to be worse than it is.
My son tested Positive for Covid, (he, one of my Daughters live with my Wife and I). So we had to self Quarantine. He was in his room for 2 weeks, only allowed out to go to "his" Bathroom Masked covered, and spraying Lysol over him as he walked across the Hall and Back, took all his food to his room on a tray, then picked up the tray with gloves and mask, then Sprayed it with Sanitizer and rinsed and washed all by hand with antibacterial soap and hot water prior to putting it in the dishwasher…Then Wiping and Spraying the tray with Lysol…. All others in the house were tested
3 days after, 9 days after, and 2 days after he didn't show symptoms. We all are negative, and well Christmas was a bust, I think we finally got the all clear on the 28th of Dec. The Wife is going through Chemo so we were worried about her immune system.
Am I tired of this garbage, sure am. Am I tired about the contradictory information that we get from our Centers for Disease Control, and the WHO sure am. Am I tired of
this whole shebang….OHHELLYES as we all are.

Tell me about it. My 10 year old was in floods of tears last night - really misses her friends. My 8 yr old on the other hand couldn't give a cr*p!

And I thought the relating of deaths to Covid was a UK only thing…..

Guessing you didn't see the news article about the 12yr old lad who picked up covid from school gave it to his mum and gran and his gran died?
100% shut the schools, 30 kids in a room all day 5 days a week coughing on each other isn't ideal. And yes I'm a parent who is currently home schooling
