Thinking about selling this after its got a MOT and Tax, to buy a GTI.
1.3 3 door driver (with the rare Brown interior)  fell into my lap, i cant justify ripping it to bits to fit a big block.

Been stood on a drive from 1995, i know this history of the car, its running just got to put a new down pipe on and fit a new master cylinder. then get a MOT.

Im in selby near york mate,

The car was sold to my uncle's brother by my friend who hadnt passed his test back in 1994 / 5. the chap never passed his test and it sat on his drive.

I tried to buy it in 1998 when i had a Mk1 1.1 but he wasnt selling it.

My uncle told me last month they needed to remove the car and i grabbed it, my idea was to put a 1.8T in her but its too nice i feel to mod.

Not sure about the price as you dont see many like this anymore.

Mk1 Jetta's do pop up on ebay quite often considering there isn't too many about.

Your not going to get a great one for £1500 though.

hmmmmm would be a fair distance to travel but for a mk1 thats in the right colour and right spec that im ideally looking for it could be worth it,looking at the pics would i be right in saying the bodywork is rough? as it looked like there was lacquer peel on bonnet and roof? also is there any rear seats ? as never saw any in the pictures, its not a problem if there isnt any as thats something that i could get if i was to buy it:),
i knew id be lucky if i could find a jetta for the money but no harm in trying eh,love your jetta spilz,1.3 isnt it?

cheers

Cheers dude.

Yea mate its a 1.3. It's not bad to be fair, can't grumble, done some long motorway journeys and it seems happy at 70 ish.

Minters tend to go for over 3k, but then you could pick one up for a project for like £800 some times. Like you say, you can only try!

There was a guy selling an absolute stunner last weekend, all original, he wanted £4100.

not a problem, cant beat a clean mk1 with a few tweaks here and there, actually came across the page with all the info etc on the car when I was on google one day and sat and read it all, made for a good read aswell as the pics being on the slightly p*rnographic side like all good mk1 pics ,yeah what I have noticed is the jettas are usually around £300-500 more than the golfs but in saying that I have seen a couple go for £1100-1200 but as usual never had money,£4100 seems fair for a mint jetta what was the spec etc?

cheers

Yea I think generally for a tidy one you can drive as soon as you get it you're looking at £2500.

The £4100 one was completely original, unmolested 1.5 auto (I think) absolutely immaculate inside and out beige with tan cloth interior. If you look in my Tatton Park pics there is a pic of it in there.
