Description:
The time has come to sell my much loved project. New family on way and space at a premium so I am gutted to have to do this but needs must! I would like to see her go to somebody with the time for an extensive rebuild so advertising as a lot first but may be willing to break if I don't get the response I am after.

Here goes, this is what you will get:

- Fully Dipped 3 Door Campaign Shell. Original roof skin removed and new tin top skin ready to be re-attached. (car has nothing to hide other than the odd bit of welding the shell is very solid, SPL even commented that it is probably one of the best they have seen for a sun roof model)
- All panels - also dipped. (bonnet is mint, doors have been repair at the corners, boot lid is fine)
- Repair panels - also dipped. (2 Sills non genuine, rear inner and outer arches)

Parts Included. (used but in good condition unless other wise stated)
- Full sun roof assembly (painted in white with seal and runner attached still)
- Almost new GAZ Gold Coilovers (on the car about 6 months prior to taking off the road - boxed)
- Used Original McPherson struts and springs (fairly good)
- Both front and rear bumpers (good condition no marks)
- Full set of arch spats (good condition no marks)
- Set of quarter and lower trim (some signs of age, but could be restored)
- Handles (again in good condition)
- All interior trim, minus the vinyl pillar / door trim and roof lining.
- Door cards and rear trim panels (very good condition)
- Black carpet in ok condition (the vinyl has gone from the foot rest)
- Black leather mk2 golf (I think) front seats and rear bench (good condition, no rips, just age related wear)
- Parcel Shelf
- 2 x Rear axles (one has been dipped and painted other one could do with recon)
- 2 x Rear ARB + 1 set of the rare ARB clips
- 2 x Sets of Front wishbones (6 month old set of febi's and the originals)
- Full Poly bush set (set of orange and also various powerflex ones)
- 2 pairs of front hubs (one set blasted)
- Complete set of OMP Braces (upper and lower front and rear used for about 12 months)
- Original discs and callipers and carriers for front.
- Set of drums for back
- Disc conversion for back
- Original Brake servo and brake bar assembly
- Full Set Green Campaign glass (minus Windscreen - thanks to a mate :-( )
- Front headlights (4 Hella's in good condition)
- Campaign Grill (good but not perfect)
- Red GTI Grill trim (great condition)
- All badges (these are ok, but have been repainted silver so not original)
- Wiring loom (complete but needs a bit of 'attention')
- Original Fuse box and all relays (everything worked)
- MFA Clocks (the MPG gauge worked before strip down)
- Wiper / MFA Storks
- VDO Dials (were working)
- Full dash (upper and lower with all buttons working and no marks)
- Campaign 4 Button Steering Wheel (high / low horn worked and not too bad but I would have had it re-trimmed)
- Seat belts and other miscellaneous trim items)
- Toad Thatcham CAT 1 Alarm and Remote Central Locking Kit
- Magnex 4 Branch Stainless Manifold
- Magnex Manifold to Back box Stainless Exhaust (great condition - paid £350 for it about 6 months before stripping - sounds awesome)
- Original Full system exhaust (minus cast iron manifold as it was cracked) (exhaust is fine - fairly new and not holes)
- Original DX lump (dissembled as was going to do full rebuild - pulled like a train still, just had noisy lifters / tappets)
- O2A? gearbox (not sure whether this is standard ratio as 5th seemed very tall for an original - remember it going way off the clock on the motorway racing a yob in a Type R (I won :-) )
- Full linkages (needs new bushes)
- A box (literally) of nuts bolts / fastenings.

I am sure to have missed something, but basically you get the drift - EVERYTHING to rebuild this car is included.

You may be looking at my asking price and saying 'but its a project' no way - but please consider the following:

In total I have about around £8k sunk into this car (including initial purchase)

The dip cost £1100

If I were to take my time with this and clean up all the parts to list them all separately I know I would get closer to £5000. I am in no rush - baby isn't here for another 6 months and really the only thing that is 'in the way' is the shell and even that's not causing me any problems to store.

What you are getting here is an amazing car with a really solid shell and absolutely nothing to hide. There is no filler there isn't any paint covering up the 'unsightly'

It is a blank canvas. Restore it back to completely original (which I and most will agree is best) or go down the modified route - just make sure you do it properly!

All that needs doing to the shell is a bit of welding, finish the roof skin swap over, and get her back down to SPL for the 2nd and 3rd stage of dipping and this will be one of the best and most solid Campaigns our roads will ever see! Once you get her back from the body shop you can either bolt everything straight back on or go mad and rejuvenate every nut and bolt!

All I ask is that you consider this very carefully - it needs the right buyer who has plenty of room, dry storage and a passion for getting things 'just right' and believe me, I will not let this go until I have 'vetted' the prospective buyer ;)Again - Do not even consider this unless you have read all of the above!!

If I do not get any sensible offers then I will start getting parts down from the loft and listing separately.

On a final note - I am absolutely gutted to have to give up on this but with family on the way and the Mrs buying me a mint Mk2 GTi on the way I need the space.
Throw in that I have a 3 year old (just out of warranty) Mk6 GTI with a failed cam chain tensioner (effectively a £13k paperweight), then you could say the money would be nice too!

Please PM if you have a questions or if you want to come and take a look. I will happily answer any questions and I will try to help the prospective buyer finish this off in any way I can.

Regards and thank you for taking the time to read this.
