Wheel Arches for MK1 Gti

Hi All

Yet again im neading help finding the impossible! My MK1 is now prepped and ready for painting and the guys there have advised me to get some new arches. So does anyone know where i can get some? Everywhere i have tried said its impossible  :banghead:

Any info would be really appreciated!

theres ones on ebay from poland , but am havin hell of a job ordering from them , also am tryin to get ones cut outta old shells

I know it's rediculous. Think im going to end up asking the guys at the paint shop to just paint over them at this rate, ha. Thanks for your help anyway, let me know how you get on in your quest! Good Luck!

Yeah id tryed GPC first as id got all of my window and door seals from them. They are really good for alot of things but unfortunately no wheel arches!  :(  

Will keep looking though and let you all know if i find any, shant be holding my breath though! ha ha

If they are obsolete and no-one else does them then maybe we could look into getting the club / official parts supplier to see what would be required to develop them?  :D  :dontknow:

As part of the constitution of the club To maintain a parts sourcing service when time and funds allow has always been difficult for us a club and is where the true basis of the agreement is found, we can now work with Rich and develop those sort after parst that are no longer available off the shelf.

Rich has already been involved with sourcing and regenerating obsolete items and a lot are now available through his website, so this service can only get better.  He has many projects 'on the go' as we speak.

its great that theres so much stuff available , n there is ones on ebay , but they in poland n hard to get them to understand ordering

Got mine from there. They look fine to me. Not fit them yet though but they offer up ok.

Not available from Beevers any more or anywhere else I know of.

I have been in duscussion about remanufacture but outlay is huge to get them remade - even with the original tooling.

Thanks for all of your help folks! My MK1 is all finished now. The body repair shop who did my dub managed to get the new wheel arches from a company they use so all is good. They just tidied up my outer plastic arches. Will have to try and find out where they got them from for anyone elses benefit. Thanks again. Hev

I would strongly recommend the place where i had mine done but it would be one heck of a treck for you! :lol:

Surely if you put up a post somebody nearer to you would beable to suggest somewhere? Let me know how you get on.

local lad taken ?660 for paint n filler before he started , he was quoting ?1700 for painting inside , engine bay and outside, stopped that in its tracks. Thinkin to possibly abandon whole project
