When do I stop accelerating!!! (Where's my redline)

Post

I have a TSR built 2.0 8v with big valve head, lightened flywheel, balanced parts etc tuned to 160bhp with a 50 bhp shot of nos.

Its running like a dream but I'm worried about over revving/not using all the power.
I have a dyno print out showing the power curve and I've just fitted a larger rev counter with shift light which I'd like to set at a safe rev limit whilst using the new power from the engine, should I shift at/after/before peak power is achieved?
Maybe i should just feel for the power dropping off, maybe I'm thinking about it too much…… Maybe YOU can help!?

Post up the dyno print out & I'm sure someone can help from there

What doesn't kill me can only make me stronger.

Mk1 will be back.

yup shift before the power evens or drops, where its most fun, its going to be up around 6000 i'd guess, its only a guess though based on my 150bhp KR, i prefer to shift at 5500 though, dont know why just feels and sounds right…. O_o

the dyno print will help a lot as all engines are different!

Question:
"When do I stop accelerating!!! (Where's my redline)"  :o

Answer:
When you see the DEVIL!

Used to work for me.
Don't start me on braking points.

Just a bit fun because my engine is untouched and I only push it to 3,500rpm now and again to give it a bit of a clean out but good luck.
I'm sure someone will have the right answer for you mate.  :)
