Stainless exhaust for mk1 driver

I need a stanless exhaust full system for a mk1 golf driver

Hi

I need a full exhaust system, stainless steel, for my 1.3 mk1 golf driver. I have been looking for ages as my current standard exhaust is had it, blowing like mad, and all I can find is the jetex half system in stainless steel, but I need a full system and the jetex is built for  GTI and I believe I would loose too much back end pressure. Does anyone know anyone that make a stainless exhaust system for a 1.3 driver, if not does anyone know any good people who make decent custom stainless systems, preferably near Essex.

Thanks

i've looked for a while and gave up, pretty sure there is no off the shelf stainless for our drivers.

there is only just over 110 of us left on the road so not a big enough market i guess

i pressed the little red button

Try Longlife.co.uk  - I used them based on recommendations on here - you need to supply the exhaust manifold, and they will do the rest - you can even choose the exhaust note.

Might be a bit out of the way. But in Brighton you've got powerflow exhaust that build custom/ Build to order stainless and mild steel.
Google it. If that helps. Ask for Lee really friendly bloke.

in Essex you can use pipecraft (Basildon) or longlife (Rochford)

My friend had a good job with a custom exhaust for his scooby powered bay widow by Longlife, kinda wish i'd realised where they were before i went with Pipecraft.
Pipecraft have been around for years and have a good rep but i recently (3 weeks ago) had a custom made exhaust for the cabby and i was clear i didnt want it loud and chavvy, got it back and it seemed a bit noisy but now its changed and is very noisy, got as producer for it too only about 50mile on it so phoned them this morning and they said "Ahh right, might need another box fitting, we'll have to book it in and you'll be given a quote……"

given a quote ?????  to make an illegal exhaust legal ? not sure where this will lead will book it in first and argue later  :(

just to re-cap, Pipecraft came through for me, they used a decibel meter and it read 92db the limit is 99db according to some places, because i got a prodcuer they had no option but to try something, so they extended the center box and put some baffles in, teh pipe is now a beautiful sound and only 80db its better than stock for sound but, it may be me but now its not straight though it feel like its robbing the car of some power, but you cant have it all i guess.
