Is there an equivalent for the 1.6 (EG) engine? Or does anyone have the data to hand?

Thanks

I had loads of problems locating the correct shells from my local parts place. I told them I need bearings for my 1.8 MK1 Golf and the sent me bearings with no tags. I have been told that these are for the 1.8 20v that have cracked conrods. In the end I spoke to a specialist engine parts supplier up north http://www.lymmengineparts.co.uk. They knew exactly what I needed. I should have know that my factor would get wrong when they asked me how many balls were in my bearing!?!?!

Old school engine rebuilders are great at finding parts and info, I took my head to one and they could sorce all the bits I needed for a 1978 head.
