Hi guys looking for a little help
My 1990 mk1 cabby is losing water it is the metal around the block water pipe i've order two pipes from vw heritage one had three open ends and the other one has two open ends plus a small pipe coming off it as well but not sure what connects to that out let
Any body know  which pipe it should be

Is your car fuel injection or carb?

Fuel injection like mine has 1 end going to the water pump, another outlet 3/4 up the pipe going to the expansion tank and the other end going to the rubber heater hose which runs inside the car.

If you have a carb car you need another outlet going to the inlet manifold to heat it up.

my golf is 1.8 gti will try and post a photo of the pipe l have tomorrow

 That's the pipe l ordered but it has another outlet  coming from the pipe if you look at the photo its at the top left of the pipe not sure what connects to it going to try and put a photo up
