You've had cambelt and timing done haven't you?
I have gone through what you have done and the above have not been mentioned, either cambelt is out and or ignition timing is out

Guys,

Update………………… Driven car today no problems. I think there is a patern forming. The times the problem arises seems to be when its really damp, that kind of cold misty wet day/evening. going to continue to drive it over the weekend and check the weather if it happens again. :dontknow:

Check that very cheap (?36!!!!) carb to maifold gasket hasn't perished and there is any slight movement with the carb. Check it VERY carefully as it may seem ok but it isn't! I'll tell ya why..

When the engines cold and it's rocking around a lot this causes any tear in the gasket to get huge and causes crazy kanagrooing, but once it's warmed up or sometimes just because it feels like it it seemed to me it'd run fine or better as the engine isn't rocking so much!

How do i know? -jus took that chance with mine and it seems to have cured it…

Jus what i had and noticed it wasn't on the list!

Good Luck n if y aget fed up sell it to me i need some parts…
