Sump

Howdy people. In need of some help removing my sump. I'm following JSeamans great guide on oil pump inspection but I'm stuck on the two awkward bolts next to the bell housing. Comparing the photos on the guide to my sump/bell housing, I can't even see the two awkward ones. I've got the same setup of ratchet extensions but no way will they fit.
Mine's a 91 cabby 1.8 non injection so have I got a different bell housing? Any help on how to get to these bolts would be great.

Cheers guys

Shouldn't be different. When I did mine they were fiddly but not too hard. More of a pain was putting them back in as at some point in the past they had obviously been forced in cross threaded. So I replaced bolts with studs and nuts. Have you got any pictures of yours.

Thanks dudes. I managed to find the bolts. No way I could have got to them without taking that plate off the bell housing (revealing the flywheel). There was quite a chunky rubber seal on the plate that completely hid them. Check the photos but I guess it's my ignorance to not remove the plate in the first place

Can't see bolt and socket won't fit:

I appreciate the help. Now on to fitting the new filter and sump

luckily for you yours is later style with removable sump cover, what it is on the guide you saw it was probably earlier style which uses a 1 piece tin cover between the engien and box, and so the lower bit wont come off
