its a 1983 1.3 5 door, not sure of the model, its all new teritory to me as i come from mini ownership, so not a clue on golfs, gonna do a compression test in a little while as it runs rough, and doesnt like to rev, see if its head gasket problems! would be great if someone local could give me some advice and guidence!

You got a Haynes for it mate? I'd help but I'm not the most technical person. Might be best posting in engine section.

nah no haynes manual, was my 1st thing to order when payday comes round lol would love to go to this meet, maybe next year ill be on it

THIS IS TOMORROW LADIES AND GENTS!!!!!  Check fluids, oil level and tyres before you head off and drive safe…. want to get there in one piece.

The convoy should stay around 50mph-60mph….. overtake until the camera car (mine) is at the back.  I'll then drive past, pull in and slow down… then you all go again.  WATCH OUT FOR THE CAR BEHIND…. if it flashes and pulls onto the hard shoulder flash the car in front and pull in… that way we can all help the car with problems.

Get ready for beer, drink, fancy dress and loads of mk1's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
