Hi need help with my mk1 1.8 t conversion

Hi fitted a 1.8 turbo in a mk1 running a dta ecu and loon it's hard to start and runs rough it has old spark plugs am fitting new ones tomorrow could it be a fuel problem plugs are looking black after I get it running any ideas 

Have you had a good read through any of the turbo conversion build threads?

You might find info in some of those on issues.

A bit more info is needed probably, what tune do you have in the ecu? Are the sensors getting the info they need? Etc etc

No am new to this site I will try find them and have a look am not sure what tune it has all I know it's a dta ecu I can get it running it Revs up idle is rough and cuts out I am running gti fuel pump I am not sure if my diagnostic will read the ecu as it has a USB port 

Can someone point me in the direction of turbo conversion build threads?
