Post

Hi was wondering if anyone could tell me the small pipe on the back of my engine block,  just next to the injectors.

should it be connected to something or blocked off?

I cannot see anything that should be connect but not sure of its purpose

any advice would be great.

cheers Andy

That may be for air-shrouded injectors if installed on your car previously.  If some one replaced the air-shrouded ones with non-air shrouded one they may have left that port.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Thanks for your reply, still non the wiser, does it need to be blocked or left open?

If it's between injectors 3 & 4 then Briano is correct, it's a connection to the air chamber for shrouded injectors. It should be blanked off if it's currently open or connect to the air intake system somewhere if you want to reinstate it.

It depends from your system, and year of production. I figured out 3 ways, where it connects. Maybe there is more who knows :D
