Tuning

Hi all just in need of some advice please 

While im in the middle of ny first mk1 golf gti i bought a polo (breadvan) 1.0 

Its ok as a little runaround but would like a little bit more power for little money 

Is there anyway of tuning the carb or anything i can do for a quick fix sort of thing?

The best thing you can do is make sure the timing is spot on, oil is clean. Air filter is clean. Tyres are at the right pressure. Get any extra rubbish you might be carrying around !!

Just had a full service and timing is spot on.
