T5 Camper project, just finished

Hi guys

See the below link with all the details on showing how this turned into

This

The van started out as the usual builders van, apart from the horrid 20 ins RR wheels.
It took me almost a year to the day from start to finish, i did get a lot of help from a few good men along the way though.

Wow awesome build mate. Some serious man hours have gone into that. Loving the iPad in the front and the rear setup. Credit to you,

Very nice… Might be something for me to think about soon… Had a US import '72 campervan Westie a few years back…. Left hooker, and I loved it. hubs wouldnt drive it cos it was a leftie, but I never had a problem with it. Got fed up with the breaking down though, and ling drives meant doing it all on my own.
But this would be a good compromise! Nice one mate! Be good to know how you get on with overnights in it…

Just read through your build thread, all 24 pages lol, and i agree STUNNING!! Love the cheeky little touches, ipad, step LED's etc. Beautiful finish on the paint, deep, gleaming heh the mirror image of your pooch doubt it even does it justice. Thanks for the sweet read.

Cheers guys, i really enjoyed building the van. It really challenged me as most of the mods in the van i had never attempted before, which was great when most of them worked as planned.

Mrs cabrio, i have worked on the old bays before i know where you're coming from with the reliability of the old girls. This is why i decided to do a T5, great compromise. You get the drive of a modern car with plenty of power and the reliability that goes with it. We have already spend a few weeks away in the van, the Mrs and the dog really love it. Its actually very comfortable inside and when we get the massive awning up its like a home from home.

Jinjar, i love all the little touches. I really didn't want a chavved up van but in the same breath i wanted something different. It looks like a standardish van until you start looking closer, no door handles and smoothed in spoilers etc. But by far my fav mod is the ipad install, a pain in the ass to fabricate but worth the many hours trying to get it right.

Glad you all enjoyed the read

im not usually a fan of T4/T5 conversions, but that is stunning, love the interior and a wicked choice of colour!
