From what i've read the parts network is very strong as Saab didn't produce any of the components themselves so all or most parts should remain in production and be available for a long time.

Yes my brother in law told me. He said the mechanicals are generic GM, but saab had a habit of de-constructing and putting there own stamp on it. The internals are all steel, no cast and the inlet has been honed by high pressure water jets, so as to ensure high flow capability. No wonder they went bust, lol. Ours has a pretty trick set of 19" BBS LM's on it, just to give it a bit more visual. Your right though, it does shift and 390 bhp is easily attained if you wanted to go down that route. I can honestly say, i like it much more than the BM's ive previously owned, mainly due to its Q car appeal. Obviously the BM in the right spec is a great drivers car, but how many times a week are you actually driving on the limit? Jeez, im getting old, what next a labrador,lol.GavB95 said
A guy at my work had one but sadly wrote it off in the recent snow, it was a real sleeper and didn't half shift.
