Nice. What engine is it running? Any specs of it?

2.1 duratec on jenvey itb's DTA ECU, escort wrc suspension and brakes, jaguar e-type diff and quaiffe 6 speed sequential box. Going on rollers on wed, fingers crossed 250 bhp and alls well.

Lovely shot. Had an Escort Cosworth myself which was a family car bought new in 1996. Sold it when my first one was born for 3k less than we bought it for new.      Miss it like mad. Awesome car.

Yeah was a good car competed in BTRDA rally championship in cossy but wish we still had mk2. 2.0 John Wilcox BDG on ECU fuel injection zf 5 speed direct top box and fully floating group 4 running gear. Probs worth about £50,000 in today's money. Wilcox sell engines for £24,000 alone.

Hopefully it will, it should weigh less than 900kg.

Smudger, we've built a few good fast rally cars, escort mk2 won Cumbrian and kirkby Lonsdale championship and a few outright rally wins and cosworth came 4th overall in BTRDA British championship. Problem now is building my mk1, totally different I want shell to look original so can't just weld here there and everywhere like you do on rally cars.

wow looks an animal, be good to see a video of that in action when its all done, best of luck with it :-)

Yeah I know what you mean. Love the roads over the top at Kirkby Lonsdale. Used to live in N Yorks so know Hawes and the roads over there pretty well.

Not been on here for a while, car was featured in this months performance ford and we completed a few rallies. Still requires some suspension tweaks but not bad out of the box.

Yeah it did in the dry but was a nightmare in wet at 3 sisters. Was a bit scary needs tweeks.
