Starting small.....

Hey all!

As my newb thread,

I used to drive this.

Then bought and built

Then after looking about, and missing the VW scene, due to my good mates both having one. I made the jump back.

After a loong round trip. I made my way home with this beauty.

Completely Standard 1.5 Jetta Cl.

Need some TlC, a little bit of welding and some paint to be mint outside. But for the price. I'm over the bloody moon.

Got some other pictures other day when playing with a few bits.

Interior

Without too much time with it in my possession. 2 days. I ordered this lot

Nothing fitted yet. But hope to have it all on and sorted by Ed38. And considering i go away tomorrow for 10 days. Its going to be fun! Good thing i got top mates! (fitting coilies while im away)

Then today. I set about sorting the no radio situation and payed for.

So thats her so far!

Other plans

- Series 1 Dash - No idea how easy it is
- Weber carb - Blody auto choke is playing up
- Stainless exhaust.
- Brown Interior
- Shiney splits
- Air-ride. Live and drive round too many crappy roads
- Raised Turrets & Chassis Notch.
- Paint & welding.
- Few OEM & rare goodies…..

C&C welcome.

Rich.

Welcome.
Particularly like the mk2 Jetta, was she a TX?
If so my parents had one in same colour but stock apart from weber carb, which was my first mode of transport until I bought myself a mars red CL that had a 1.8 engine transplant, which I then proceeded to add GTI back axle, lowered uprated suspension, Audi coupe Quattro wheels, satin black painted rear numberplate panel, scirocco GTX front seats, gti steering wheel and centre console etc.

As for the dash conversion, might want to ask mike_turbo for some pointers as he has a thread in mk1 projects where he has just done this (amongst a lot else!).

I thought that lol, then I went to Tatton Park show and there was 5. Ever since I've seen at least a couple at every show.

Love this one though, it's coming on really nice.
