Project what were we thinking!!!
Hi all, been having itchy fingers since the golf was finished and needed another project to get our teeth into, and here it is
1999 ford cougar 2.5 v6
We have only had the car for about four weeks and already replaced -
discs and pads all round
rear dampers
heater control unit
internal temp sensor
stereo (old one was broken)
Still to do -
abs reluctor rings
rear subframe (car is a ford so the current one is completely rotten)
new tyres all round
Fortunately the 2.5 v6 engine and box are quite sweet, thirsty but sweet and apart from a few scratches the body is in good nick aswell as the leather interior. This is our first and probably last venture in to the world of ford cars but for £500 i guess you get what you pay for. I do like a good bodykit and plans for the car are as follows -
full bodykit inc rear boot spoiler
carbon wrap over the bonnet, roof and tailgate
the rest of the car done in bright green wrap (those of you who have seen our golf will know we like bright colours)
18" rims in black
custom twin exit exhaust
Very "max power" i know, but have always wanted to build something like this, all work will be done by myself and friends in the trade, i will keep you posted.

Was you, by any chance, playing with this whilst at the same time letting the club down by not putting your car on the stand at Ultimate dubs!? :dontknow:

Had a Mazda MX6 long time ago with the same engine, What a cracking car that was, but jeez it seemed to rot every 15 mins. Probably being used as a can for beans now.
