New mk2 16v daily and wheels for the Mk1.

Hi all,

Just picked up my new Mk2 today. Fancied one for years now and thought it was time. The mk1 is very near completion of its 2nd rebuild bt dont wanna spoil it as an everyday car. Pics of the mk2…..totally original in every sense well apart from headunit. Everything works, couple of minor paint blemeshes but hey its 23 years old! 70mile drive hope and it didnt miss a beat! Sat at 80-85 and pulled well for overtaking. Can find anything that doesnt actually work! Done 180k with a stack and I mean a stack of reciepts for work done and services over the years etc. No history book sadly. All in all well chuffed. Not going to mod it too much just slight improvments on handling and performance.
Also a couple of pics of my freshly refurbed BBS RX2's for the Mk 1. White powdercoated centres and diamond cut lip with bbs design line caps. Need a bit more polishing on the lip. Going to run with 35mm spacers on rear and 25 on front with 165 45 15 tyres for a bit of stretch look.

Very nice mate!

I'm soon doing the same, just got to shift my 944 then buying a MK2. I've never even driven one, leave alone owned one and always wanted one.

Enjoy it - and pics when the new wheels are on please :)

Enjoyed seeing this on MK2 forum too - it's a tidy looking valver ;)

How does it compare to a MK1? May sound daft question - I know different but does it have a similar kind of feel if you know what I mean?
